Abstract

Waena Village is a residential area and social order that is intended as a form of protection and affirmation of the existence of the indigenous Tabi-Papua community and the values of local wisdom they have.Social life in Waena Village is a combination of traditional life (informal leadership) and modern life (formal leadership). This can be seen in the life of the people who still maintain the traditional institutional system on the one hand, but on the other hand, have access to and follow the modern life obtained through electricity as a source of energy for various electrical and electronic equipment. This socialization and educational activity is intended to introduce and educate the people of Waena village so that they can use electricity as a household energy source safely and comfortably.From various statements and questions posed by the participants, it can be concluded that this activity has succeeded in achieving its goals and benefits.
